Job Title: Cyber Security AnalystHire Resolve's client is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team in Pretoria, GP. A Cybersecurity Analyst's primary function is to monitor and protect organizations from cyber-attacks and respond swiftly to restore protection if compromised. Accomplishing this requires them to perform a range of tasks, including:
Evaluating and assessing potential vulnerabilities in an organization's digital infrastructure;Documenting and reporting on any attempted cyber-attacks;Resolving breaches or attacks swiftly by identifying the source of the attack.ResponsibilitiesAssist in monitoring technologies used as part of the customers' proposal for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized or illegal activity.Monitor, investigate and mitigate security alerts/service incidents during and after office hours (Standby).Log and report security alerts and incidents to customers during and after office hours (Standby).Respond to and manage security incidents, including identifying the root cause, containing the threat, and mitigating its impact.Conduct detailed investigations into security incidents and produce comprehensive reports outlining findings, impacts, and recommended actions.Escalate major security events to the Service Delivery Manager during and after office hours (Standby).RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.Proven experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field, with a focus on monitoring, analysis, and incident response.Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar are preferred.Proficiency with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM systems, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and anti-virus solutions.Experience with security monitoring and analysis tools, and a solid understanding of network protocols and architecture.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex security data and make informed decisions.If you are looking for a career change, you may send your CV to Gaby Turner at ****** and Carmen Schafer at ******.
