As we grow, we're looking for a Regulation Manager specialising in Customs Tariffs to join our team.
Role Overview
As a subject matter expert in the international Customs and Trade Tariffs regime, you will be responsible for understanding, sourcing, collecting, and processing globally updates related to Customs and Trade Tariffs into usable information to ensure compliance and optimisation. You'll play a pivotal role in managing customs tariffs compliance tasks, supporting our development team in workflow optimisation, and assisting customers in leveraging customs incentives for cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, research and understand on a daily basis international Customs Tariffs and Duty Rates that impact PST.AG clients' ability to do business internationally
An understanding of World Customs Organization Harmonized System codes
Overview of the technical workflow, and to be able to manipulate the workflow according to current requirements.
Coordination with other departments and tasks must be assigned, managed, and completed through effective management of the available personnel.
Understand and work within exact data formats, and data processing procedures and requirements.
Write clear documentation on processes and ensure that the entire workflow is well documented and sufficient for clear instruction for everyone.
Communicating with technical administrators, developers, data entry specialists, coaches, and management, as well as potentially regulatory authorities and customers.
Trouble-shoot customer complaints, faulty workflows, missing data, etc. and workflows creating incomplete data, authorities releasing poor quality data, etc must be quickly identified and solutions implemented.
Maintain and utilise current regulatory expertise to ensure that the PST.AG database of Customs Tariffs is up to date and compliant with regulatory changes
Follow and understand current international events and regulations related to customs tariffs, update information from regulations and laws, and implement it in specific tasks
Understand accurate data formats, data processing procedures and requirements and ensure compliance
Update internal controls and procedure manuals following business requirements and regulations
Quickly identify workflows creating incomplete data, authorities releasing poor quality data, etc, and implement solutions accordingly
Act as a supervisor for large language models
Key Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Proven Experience in the field of Customs Tariffs
Extensive Experience understanding and communicating (written and verbal) technical processes and legal documents to people with diverse professional backgrounds
Project management and coordination skills
Analytical Skills Strong expertise in reasoning, logic, and data organisation.
Communication Proven ability to explain technical and legal processes to diverse audiences, both written and verbal.
