Background of the Company
Lindt & Sprüngli (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd (Lindt SA) started operations in May 2011 and forms part of the Lindt & Sprüngli group of companies. With more than 150 employees, Lindt SA is based in Cape Town with strong regional presence in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth and a network of 13 Lindt retail stores.
As global leader in the premium chocolate sector, Lindt & Sprüngli looks back on a long-standing tradition of almost 175 years which takes its origins in Zurich, Switzerland. Today, quality chocolate products by Lindt & Sprüngli are made at 12 owned production sites in Europe and the USA. The products are distributed by 28 subsidiary companies and branch offices, in around 500 Lindt shops and cafés, and also via a comprehensive network of more than 100 independent distributors around the globe.
Position Purpose
Develop, implement and analyze customized shopper marketing plans on different brands toward all wholesale, pharmacy, groceries and forecourts customers to meet the company's business goals and to reach each sell-in / sell-out target throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
In-store Brand Activations: coordinate (in-store) brand activations in collaboration with Brand Marketing, Finance and Sales teams (including all administrative tasks, planning and reviews)
Manage sampling plans for all the Brands with sampling budget, including post campaign analysis (CPC, ROI)
Develop Joint Business Plans in major customers for the main seasons (Christmas, Easter)
Manage account and ongoing/day-to-day interaction with storage and transportation supplier, ensuring a high degree of service implementation. Capable of challenging quotes and investment to ensure a high ROI for the company.
Managing large marketing budgets and ensuring alignment with company targets.
Abilities to find alternative suppliers to challenge the cost, with the same high-quality standards

Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence at all levels – internal and external
High level of initiative, able to drive projects independently and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Passionate and driven, with up to date knowledge of cutting-edge marketing techniques
Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
Excellent presentation skills in English
Minimum Requirements
BComm Degree or suitable tertiary qualification
Previous experience in an FMCG environment, ideally Sales or Marketing (minimum 3 - 5 years)
