We are looking for a Customer Insights Analyst for a well-established Retail and Shopper Content Company that provides large FMCG Companies with Shopper Intelligence to make accurate decisions around Advertising/Product Mix, etc. They are based in Cornubia.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB Promotional Pricing data is core to the overall Analytics solution. The analytical reports created for decision-making purposes for our Retail clients are essential to ensuring their prices are competitive, as well as providing insights into basket views and promotional insights. Report accuracy is key. From a Retail perspective, the purpose is to create promotional reports to measure against Market Share and the changes thereof. Reporting needs to be relevant and critical to be sent out on time.
Knowledge: Comprehension of Retail promotions and FMCG. Understanding of Manufacturer and Retail relationships and environment. Knowledge of Data Structure and Databasing. Familiar with Microsoft: SQL / PowerPoint / Excel Pivot Tables. Comprehension of Branding and Categories within a Manufacturer environment. Experience: Strong MS Excel skills (3 + years' experience with this). Strong MS PowerPoint skills (3 + years' experience). Working with structured and unstructured data sets. Presenting to stakeholders and providing insights. Relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised institution. Certificate in Advanced Excel will be advantageous. Behavioural traits: High attention to detail. Strong analytical and statistical ability. Able to work with vast data sets daily. Systematic and methodological way of working. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication (both written and verbal). Trustworthy and Honest. Able to work well in a team and individually. Self-managing.
