Design Graduates will gain exposure to working within well-established teams to solve design problems. They will learn how to contribute to product and service teams by addressing specific functional-level design challenges while following established standards in their discipline. A successful Design Graduate is a self-starter with a passion for solving problems and creating solutions for customers. They possess a growth mindset, a willingness to learn, and work well within a team, managing their own time and work deliverables effectively.Design Graduates will be exposed and developed to:Follow an approach defined by the team.Conduct research (primary and secondary) to understand user pains, gains, and needs.Execute design work based on guidance from design project leads.Adapt designs based on feedback from customers and team leads.Present design work back to business stakeholders with the support of design project leads.Be an advocate for design thinking methodologies and practices.Create innovative design solutions to enhance customer experience.Contribute to the design within the project.Apply design thinking and best practice standards with the support of senior designers.Leverage insights and data, such as market analysis and user research, to ensure that products/services/solutions are designed around the customer.Design mock-ups and prototypes as necessary for each project stage, iterating to achieve optimal output.Align designs to standards and brand guidelines for a consistent customer experience across the Absa ecosystem.Continuously build expertise by seeking and incorporating feedback and following external trends and best practices.Required Skills and AbilitiesEducation:Bachelor's Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (Required).Field of study:Has NQF level 7 or higher or is currently studying with plans to obtain this by the end of 2024.Location / Address:Primary location is Johannesburg, and successful Graduates will be required to attend sessions in Johannesburg regularly.Application Closing Date – 6 October 2024About Us:We are a diversified standalone African financial services group, delivering an integrated set of products and services across personal and business banking, corporate and investment banking, wealth, investment management, and insurance.Absa Group Limited is listed on the JSE and is one of Africa's largest diversified financial services groups with a presence in 12 countries and around 41,000 employees.Application Dates: 26 Sept 2024, 06:34 - 6 Oct 2024, 18:00 Position: Customer Design Graduate - ManagementLocation:Johannesburg (South Africa)Employment type: full-time
