Employer DescriptionThis is a Shopfitting CompanyJob DescriptionYour responsibilities will be the following:Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of 15 staff members, providing guidance and support to meet production and quality goals.Conduct performance reviews and provide regular feedback to staff.Oversee the multi-stage preparation process, including sanding, sealing, priming, and finishing, ensuring high standards at each stage.Ensure each item meets client specifications and quality standards before final coating.Implement and maintain inspection protocols for quality assurance at all stages.Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily activities, ensuring the timely completion of orders.Manage workloads, allocate resources, and oversee scheduling to meet production deadlines, including working overtime and weekends as needed.Address and resolve any production bottlenecks or quality issues promptly.Recruit, onboard, and train new team members as required to maintain a high-quality team.Continuously develop team members skills in various finishing techniques and quality practices.Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations concerning finishing materials.QualificationsMatricSkillsMinimum of 10 years of experience in a woodwork or paint shop environment, with advanced knowledge of various finishing techniques.Strong supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-pressure setting.Expertise in quality control processes, with attention to detail and a commitment to achieving the highest standards.Experience in recruitment, training, and staff developmentWillingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary to meet production deadlinesTechnical skills in paint/finish applications, surface preparation, and use of specialized equipment.Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing and finishing industry.
