OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a passion for family law, assisting solicitors in providing exceptional legal support to clients. This role requires effective communication, time management, and proficiency in various IT applications.
Duties
Assist solicitors with the preparation of legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, and court forms.
Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and documentation.
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and address inquiries.
Organise and manage case schedules, deadlines, and appointments efficiently.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel to create reports and manage data.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations throughout the legal process.
Assist in the preparation for court hearings by organising exhibits and evidence.
Requirements
Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar legal support role is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.
A keen attention to detail and accuracy in all work produced.
A proactive approach to problem-solving within a legal context.
