Records SpecialistLocation: 14250 49th St. N., Clearwater, FL 33762The Clerk of the Circuit Court, as an elected Constitutional Officer responsible for safeguarding public records and funds, is seeking a service-minded Criminal Court Records Specialist to provide quality service to our public.

Your on-the-job performance affects our county's citizens and your conduct directly influences their opinions of our organization.The Criminal Court Records Specialist specializes in clerical work involving data entry, filing, and processing of a variety of legal documents in accordance with Florida Statutes, Rules of the Court, and other pertinent authorities, performed in an automated work environment.
Areas of assignment could be any department under the Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Depending upon the department assigned, specific duties may vary and could require public contact.
Decisions are made within established guidelines and procedures.What Would You Do?Performs typing/data entry, reviews and processes a variety of legal documents.Performs case initiation and maintenance.Performs computer operations.Provides customer service (telephone) to citizens.Performs photocopying assignments.Prepares correspondence.Processes court documents/orders/warrants/reports.Performs image/document scanning/docketing and filing pleadings.Performs related work as assigned or required.What Do You Need To Have?Experience: Experience in clerical work which may include customer service experience.At least 1 year of experience as described above; orAn associate or higher-level degree with some experience as described above.Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.Highly DesirableBasic knowledge of Florida Statutes, Rules of Court, and regulations pertinent to area of assignment.Knowledge of legal terminology, grammar, spelling, and math.Knowledge of record-keeping practices and procedures.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of automated office equipment, practices, and procedures.Skilled in the operation of automated office equipment.Ability to provide quality customer service.Ability to follow instructions in accordance with laws, regulations, and procedures.Ability to provide information correctly and concisely, orally and in writing.Ability to type with reasonable speed and accuracy.Our benefits rank among the top in the area!Looking for a strong retirement?
