Job Purpose:  RTT Logistics is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Creditors Supervisor.
The Creditors Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to creditors.
This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the financial health of the company.
Duties Responsibilities:  Supervise Accounts Payable Process: Oversee the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and reconciliation of vendor accounts.Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and resolving any payment issues or discrepancies.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function, implementing best practices to streamline operations and increase efficiency.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounts payable clerks, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to ensure departmental goals are met.Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable, providing insights to management as needed.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements, regarding accounts payable and vendor management.Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to accounts payable in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating with internal stakeholders as needed.Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, contributing expertise and insights to achieve project objectives.Job-Related Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
(advantageous)3+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role, with at least 3 year in a supervisory capacity.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.Strong leadership and team management skills.Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.Experience working in the logistics or transportation industry.
