Creditors Clerk - Amanzimnyama

This role is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable function within the finance department, including timely and accurate processing, reconciling, and maintenance of the accounts payable as well as payment of supplier invoices.Roles & Responsibilities Accurate and timeous processing of monthly supplier invoices.Ensure the correct GL account, cost centre and supplier account is utilised when processing invoices and invoices are authorised in accordance with the appropriate level of authority.Ensure all invoices with VAT are VAT compliant.Ensure all suppliers are paid timeously within the agreed supplier payment terms, also ensuring that discount vendors are paid timeously to receive discounts.Forward remittance advice to suppliers after completion of the payment run.Accurately prepare monthly creditor reconciliations and ensure that reconciling items are resolved timeously.Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries, resolve discrepancies and follow up on outstanding documentation.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as well as financial reporting.Maintain the Goods Received Not invoiced GL account and open supplier purchase orders.Review the monthly Stannic fleet card spending and report any unusual spending.Ensure that all internal and external emails are attended to timeously and responses are provided.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and accurate financial reporting.Assist with internal and external audit requests.Assist with any ad hoc requirements as they arise on a day-to-day basis within a reasonable time.Always adhere to company policies and procedures   Qualifications & Experience Must have a  National Diploma or equivalent.Proven experience as a Creditors Clerk or similar role.Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.    Closing date : Wednesday, 19 June 2024 Please note that in terms of the company's diversity and inclusion policy, this position has been bonded for employment equity candidates.  Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.If you do not hear from us in 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful
