Oxford University Press is looking for a Credit Controller that can reduce debtor days by minimizing the risk of irrecoverable sales and by building effective and constructive relationships with debtors. The day-to-day duties include managing the debts of Debtors, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery.
The Credit Controller will be reporting to the Credit & Collections Manager. This post is based in Goodwood.
Principal Accountabilities:
Ensure timely payments collection while maintaining a high level of customer retention.
Reconciling and managing complex accounts.
Ensure new accounts are managed and controlled effectively.
New Accounts onboarding using external / 3rd party vetting systems.
Responsible for non-tender debt, tender debt and intergroup debt collection.
Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO.
Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team.
Liaising effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
Minimum Requirements:
Certificate in Credit Management entry level 2.
Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting advantageous.
3 years' experience working in credit control and finance environment.
Credit risk management and collection on payment.
Customer Database Management.
Knowledge of the Educational Publishing Industry advantageous.
Invoice / Shipping Dispatching.
Customer service skills.
Knowledge of the current credit legislation is vital.
Excellent MS Office Excel Skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SAP knowledge and experience.
Experience working with Credit Vetting Engines.
Experience in working with large ERP systems.
