What you will do in the role: In this role, you will be responsible for managing a $1 billion loan book, which is forecast to grow at 30-50% per annum over the next five years. You will generate insights that help improve Prodigy's strategies and improve the way external stakeholders understand Prodigy's portfolio. You will want to understand the expected behaviour of our book in the future and help improve our forecasts to do so. You will work in a team plugged into everything Prodigy knows about our customers' credit lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor, evaluate and report on the overall credit and financial performance of the Prodigy student loan portfolio to internal management and external investors on a monthly cycle basis. Utilise Statistical Analysis System (SAS) or Python to perform risk, financial and data analyses, including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, forecasting and quality testing. Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies and business strategy by analysing credit and financial performance and utilising statistical scoring, segmentation, and regression and simulation techniques. Collaborate closely with colleagues in the product, collections, legal and other operational teams to develop and improve the loan product and the impact of servicing & collections processes. Research customer and/or management queries (including working with customer complaints team) using risk systems and data and support ad-hoc risk policy analyses and projects, as required. Participate in developing, testing, and optimising credit policies, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance, and assist in the implementation of those policies, processes and other related initiatives. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Prodigy Finance, its customers and assets. Exceptional presentation and communication skills are a must-have as the manager will be frequently required to present findings and insights internally but even more so externally to current and prospective debt and equity investors. You will manage the team responsible for the IFRS9 impairment, IFRS13 fair value models as well as cash flow modelling forecasts and loan stock model. Management of a team of analysts to support the responsibilities described above. Qualifications and Experience: A truth seeker, curious and ambitious person. 4-6 years of relevant experience, including management of a team of credit analysts. Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals and model future outcomes on a portfolio. Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with urgency. Proven organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills. Comprehensive knowledge of SAS or SQL programming and MS Office software. Data visualization software like Tableau or PowerBI would be an asset.
