Key Responsibilities:Credit Risk Management:Assess, monitor, and manage credit risk exposures within the business banking and commercial portfolios, focusing on vehicle asset finance.Implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain sound credit risk profiles.Provide second-line defense by reviewing and challenging risk assessments, credit models, and proposals developed by first-line teams.End-to-End Credit Process:Oversee the entire credit lifecycle, from initial assessment and underwriting to monitoring, reporting, and collections.Develop and maintain comprehensive credit risk frameworks that support end-to-end process management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline credit workflows and enhance efficiencies across the credit cycle.Vehicle Asset Finance Management:Develop specialized risk models and assessment criteria specific to vehicle asset finance, ensuring accurate risk quantification and control.Monitor the performance of vehicle finance portfolios, identifying emerging risks and potential areas of concern.Engage in the development of innovative credit products tailored to asset finance, while maintaining a robust risk assessment process.Second Line of Defense and Compliance:Act as a subject matter expert in credit risk, providing oversight, challenge, and guidance to the first line of defense in credit risk-related matters.Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, focusing on the commercial and business banking environment.Partner with regulatory and compliance teams to stay informed on changing regulations and ensure that the risk management framework meets all standards.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, highlighting key risk metrics, portfolio performance, and areas requiring intervention.Conduct regular reviews and risk assessments, updating risk models as needed to reflect the latest market and business conditions.Leverage data analytics to identify trends, improve risk assessment models, and provide actionable insights into portfolio performance.Key Requirements:Education & Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
