Credit Risk Analyst

Role Purpose


Assessment, management and ongoing monitoring of credit exposures which the Momentum Group shareholders portfolios are exposed to.




Requirements



BComm (Hons) (Finance or related major).
CA (SA) / CFA or equivalent will be an added advantage.
1-3 years' experience in credit risk analysis.





Duties & Responsibilities


Analysis of new credit requests.
Annual review of existing credit exposures.
Prepare ratings and Loss Given Default (LGD) for credit counterparties.
Discussion and presentation of the above to the credit committee for approval as required.
Ongoing monitoring of any potential risks arising on existing exposures.
Calculate impairments, when necessary, and report on impairments quarterly in the watchlist.
Preparation and presentation of quarterly memoranda to the Financial Market Risk Forum.
Preparation of other memoranda to the Financial Market Risk Forum relating to policy or other decisions required from the committee or feedback on special projects.
Attend client meetings in order to maintain effective client relationships to ensure successful service delivery and support.
Develop effective relationships with all stakeholders in the area of responsibility.
Interact with stakeholders in a competent, efficient and professional manner.
