Within this role, you'll have a comprehensive scope, overseeing credit activities across IFB's client portfolio. You'll lead the Credit Analyst and other risk teams, ensuring robust credit analysis and preparation of credit applications for facility adjustments. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll present well-considered credit recommendations to committees, contributing to effective risk management and business strategies. Key qualifications of the credit manager : CA(SA) / CIMA with 3 years minimum PQEBachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Accounting or higher preferred3+ years of lending or credit experience requiredSound credit analysis experience requiredCommercial legal knowledge preferred Key duties for the Credit Manager include but are not limited to : Conduct detailed credit analysis covering financial, operational, collateral, shareholder, and industry aspectsPrepare credit papers for client facility adjustments and covenant breachesPresent requests to the board and Group credit committeesEngage continuously with clients for monitoring, identify credit stress, and assist in recoveries, while ensuring compliance and collaborating with stakeholders to manage credit risk effectively.Proficient in banking business and product knowledgeStrong analytical skills including financial statement analysis and understanding of IFRSComprehensive grasp of credit principles and lending processesKnowledgeable about various industries and macroeconomic factors impacting clientsFamiliarity with commercial legal aspects such as insolvency, collateral, and deal structuresUnderstanding of Basel and AIRB Capital frameworks, coupled with financial modelling and forecasting abilitiesProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CGIC insurance cover understanding Key personal skills for an effective Credit Manager : Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPassion for continuous learning and developmentMeticulous attention to detail with strong analytical abilitiesAbility to thrive under pressure, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and creatively solve problemsIf you are passionate about credit management and possess strong analytical skills, or if you have experience in lending and risk analysis, then please get in touch to learn more about this exciting opportunity to contribute to the companies success.
