Credit Manager

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and ongoing improvement of credit models, scorecards, and analytics tools to align with industry standards and regulations.Drive initiatives to automate and streamline the credit evaluation and approval processes, ensuring responsible lending practices and high-quality asset placements.Assess and manage credit risk across client portfolios, conducting thorough credit assessments and adjusting risk parameters as needed to ensure quality asset acquisition.Understand client needs, provide proactive and innovative credit solutions, and maintain strong relationships to support their financial goals.Work closely with teams across the business to optimize credit models, improve performance, and address challenges in credit assessment, approval, and risk management.Develop reports to track credit performance, model accuracy, and risk metrics, and provide actionable insights to senior management.Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, staying informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously refine strategies.Mentor and guide junior credit analysts, providing training and support to foster a high-performance, collaborative environment.Competencies We Look For:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesLeadership and team-building capabilitiesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholdersDetail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and compliancePassion for innovation and staying ahead of emerging trends in data science and credit automationProactive and able to drive projects from concept to implementationSkills and Experience We Look For:NQF Level 7 or higher in a Financial or Banking-related fieldDegree in Finance or Econimics is preferred2-5 years of experience in credit management, preferably within commercial financeExperience managing teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environmentSend your CV to
