Credit Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Manager to oversee our credit management operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the company's credit granting process, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers. The Credit Manager will also be responsible for the timeous collection of outstanding accounts receivable and for managing any legal matters that may arise.Responsibilities:Control credit facilities granted to customers and the timeous collection of debts within the prescribed credit limitsLeading, motivating, and managing the credit control team to achieve collections targetsOverseeing the effective collection of company debtManaging and monitoring ongoing risk on accounts and managing relationships with clients to reduce exposure to potential bad debtHandles all legal requirements pertaining to bad debtsPrepares and submits debtors reports monthlyMonitoring, implementation and maintenance of Credit Risk Policies and Procedures including FICA complianceMaintains a complete and accurate statement of outstanding debtors and provides complete forecast information to assist the management of revenue cycleOversee the reconciliation of all major customers and international customers Requirements:Bachelor's degree of Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Credit Management7 – 10 years proven experience in a Credit Management position .3 – 5 years proven experience in a management role.Extensive experience in manufacturing environment is essentialPractical accounting knowledge: receivable ledger knowledge to process and reconcile debtor paymentsGeneral ledger systems and AR Ledger systems requiredExperience in textile manufacturing sector will be an advantageExcellent computer skills (Excel – Advanced essential)Sage X3 experience will be an advantageStrong negotiation skillsAbility to work under pressureExcellent analytical skillsAdvanced mathematical skillsSolid interpersonal skillsAttention to detailGreat written and verbal communication skills  Benefits:R 25 000.00 – R 27 000.00 CTC per monthConvenient location in Cape Town, Northern Suburbs.
