KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASProactively manage and address financial risksCollect outstanding debt within the set benchmarkAnalyse the debtor's book and report trends on debtorsEnsure client satisfaction with all stakeholdersREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION Grade 12REQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 1-2 years of debt collection experienceDESIRED EXPERIENCE 2-3 years of debt collection experience within the healthcare industryREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBilling, Rendering and account submission processes (e.g.
EDI), Follow-up of outstanding debts management of overpaid accounts and Bad Debt processesEnsure that funder requirements are metAdhere to Patient Administration policies and proceduresCorrect use of Patient Administration programs on the RIS (radiology information system) / practice management systemRules and regulations regarding radiology services and Funder contractsSound financial knowledge (e.g.
reconciliations, debits and credits, adjustment journals, etc.
)Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office)Relevant aspects of legislation w.r.t Debt collection environment (e.g.
National Credit Act; Medical Schemes Act, Consumer Protection Act, Workman's Compensation Act, etc.
