POSITION DESCRIPTION



Role Summary:
We are looking for a Credit Controller reporting directly to the Head of Finance Retail based at Bridgestone's Head Office in Midrand. You will be responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, processing invoices, maintaining sales ledgers, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:

Analyse and evaluate the credit worthy of our customers, analysis of financial statements, contacts with our credit insurer
Establish and monitor credit limits
Active collection of outstanding invoices by phone, e-mail, or other means (e.g. automated dunning procedures)
Continuously working on the DSO
Follow-up the whole credit limit process; releasing the orders, blocking the customers, updating credit limits.
Deciding on block shipments in consultation with the Credit / Finance manager.
Minimize bad debt exposure
Close cooperation with our internal stakeholder
Report generating, writing, and compiling

Reconciliation of Vendor Statements:

Statements
Reconciliation Sheets
Remittances
Unpaid Report
Requesting of outstanding invoices

Required Capabilities:

Close cooperation with all relevant internal stakeholders
Transparent and prompt communication regarding credit analysis with internal and external stakeholders, clients, customers, and vendors
Strong interpersonal skills
Unquestionable professionalism showcased to all internal and external parties
Meticulous in the manner of approach and line of questioning
Quantitative analysis skills
Ability to establish and maintain professional working client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
Ability to work independently but being a team player
Accurate, hands-on, and flexible
A positive attitude and a growth mindset

Role requirements:

Bachelor's in finance/ Credit Management and accounting or equivalent through experience

Additional Qualifications:

Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
Relevant working experience of national and government accounts
Strong legislative knowledge
