CREDIT CONTROLLER/EAST LONDON - The successful Candidate will be responsible for the credit and risk control as well as managing the Debtors Book. This position is available with immediate effect.
Min. Requirements:Stable work HistoryMinimum 3 year working experience relating to debtor's administration and credit control (FMCG Industry will be advantageous)
Must be strong in Debtors and ReconciliationsA problem solver who is target and deadline drivenHighly skilled of MS Excel and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels in EnglishExcellent numeracy, accuracy and attention to detailAbility to influence the decisions of others
Performance Areas; Check daily bank statement and claim all payments to the correct account
Sign invoice tracking book for all unpaid COD invoices received and file accordingly
Allocation of payments to correct account
All paid COD invoices to be removed from COD file
Reconciling of accounts
Identify and resolve queries promptly
Strong working relations with Customers to achieve credit control objectives
Ensure debtors/COD customers make payments within agreed terms
Ensuring payment and credit note equals invoice total
Authorizations for payment arrangements
Credit Limit and payment approvals
New Customers – Check all information is correct, reference checks to be done on all applications and ensure debtor information is set up correctly on debtor's master file ie: credit limits, debtors' details, rep codes, payment terms etc.
Existing Customers – Ensure all credit applications on file, all clients to be reassessed that have 2 consecutive late payments within a 6-month period and re-submitting of risk assessment sheet with a down-graded credit limit and rating
Bulk approvals to be sent to Director monthly by stipulated date
Journals
Report any risk collections within 7 days of required payment date
Submission of age analysis report monthly
Salary: R15,000 (depending on experience)
