We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller and Financial Assistant to manage and streamline our financial processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing credit control, handling debtors and creditors, and supporting various financial functions within our organization.
Key Responsibilities: Credit Control: Monitor and manage the credit control process, including the assessment and approval of credit applications, maintaining accurate credit records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
Debtors and Creditors: Process and reconcile invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels and reconciling discrepancies.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and analyze sales reports to provide insights into sales performance and assist in strategic decision-making.
Financial Administration: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
Handle general financial queries and support the finance team as required.
Requirements: Own transport is essential for commuting to the Westlake office.
Matric Certificate is required.
Diploma/Certificate in Finance or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial environment, with specific experience in debtors, creditors, credit control, inventory control, and sales reporting.
Competencies and Skills: Accounting Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles and practices related to debtors and creditors.
Taxation Knowledge: Familiarity with VAT regulations and their application.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative in resolving financial issues.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring meticulous handling of financial data and documentation.
Planning and Organization: Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
Additional Attributes: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial discrepancies or inefficiencies.
