What the role involves:
As a Credit Analyst, you will help support the efforts to scale-up this venture during its incubation phase within IOG. As a key member of the team, you will work directly with the Senior Credit Analyst and the Head of Investment Operations of RealFi in managing the credit investment process, driving and supporting the sourcing, analysis, and structuring of deals, and contributing to the overall build of the platform that creates value for both investors and borrowers.
Analytical support to the end-to-end credit investment process across origination, screening, due diligence, structuring, and monitoring.
Support the screening of potential deals through thorough analysis of credit data, financial statements, and other data to identify the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
Conduct analysis as required to provide insights on the borrower and its business model that would aid disbursement decision-making and monitoring.
Compile all analyzed data and information, including recommendations, on the borrower into a comparable reporting format that supports deal structuring and decision-making.
Work with the deal structuring team to determine and negotiate the lending parameters such as loan structure, cash flow, collateral, character, and other relevant lending issues.
Work with the data and product teams to build up internal knowledge on key loan data points and support the development of a relevant data system supporting screening.
Work with the data and product teams to identify relevant metrics and data points that would support continuous monitoring of the borrower's financial performance.
Conduct continuous financial monitoring of borrower performance after disbursement to maintain up-to-date understanding of the loan risk and quality.
Build out aggregated and comparative analytics of the loan portfolio, identifying key trends and ensuring adherence to risk parameters.
Present all analyzed data and information on specific deals or portfolios to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
Requirements
Who you are:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Economics/MBA or similar.
Professional qualifications in relevant fields (CFA, ACA) are a plus.
4+ years of professional experience as a financial or credit analyst.
Experience in emerging markets.
Experience in investment management with private credit funds or banking/credit brokerage.
Deep experience in credit analysis and underwriting.
Strong credit risk background, and counterparty risk assessment knowledge, including knowledge of drivers of credit risk metrics, and underwriting and evaluating asset originators' portfolio quality.
Experience within a credit team, analyzing and challenging underlying data, policies, and procedures which apply in credit risk environments.
Familiarity with DeFi protocols.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to write and deliver reports and presentations in a way that can be easily understood by a non-credit audience, in a cross-cultural environment.
