Why you should join our team as a Credit Analyst: The Credit Analyst conducts analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers and portfolios. The position requires contacting existing customers to collect outstanding balances and resolve any billing issues, and preparing and presenting information to the Credit Director for consideration in extending credit. Other duties include reviewing and monitoring files for documentation, assisting the Credit Team in supporting the sales effort, and maximizing credit quality and minimizing risk and loss. This position cross-trains with the Credit Coordinator. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week and is based in our Cottonwood Heights, UT or St. George, UT locations. This position has a competitive salary between $18 and $23/hour depending upon experience, plus the opportunity to receive an additional company profit-sharing bonus every 6 months. A day on the job may include: Preparing reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit. Communicating daily credit holds to sales/management. Contacting delinquent customers, evaluating customer records and recommending payment plans as required based on payment history and purchase activity. Communicating clearly and professionally with both internal and external customers. Communicating with various credit associations and other business representatives to exchange credit information. Creating customer files, and completing credit applications, including credit analyses and summaries of credit requests. Submitting files to the Credit Manager for approval. Reviewing individual or commercial customer files and obtain current information as required. Consulting with customers to resolve complaints and verify financial and credit transactions. Performing other duties as needed. This job may be for you if you have: One year or more of previous commercial credit analysis experience or equivalent experience in a similar position Experience with the preparation of written analysis reports Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or other related fields preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered Solid analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret quantitative data and formulate sound conclusions Proven organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and credit information Sound judgment, decision-making ability, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations Strong computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook) Ready to join our team?
