We are seeking a suitably qualified Crane Fitter for the Maintenance Department for a manufacturing concern in Perseverance. You will be accountable for providing preventative maintenance and attending to mechanical breakdowns to ensure plant availability and minimize downtime. Responsibilities:Repair and maintain all lifting equipment (LTI)Repair and maintain all electrical hoist, wire and chain hoistsResponsible for inspections on all lifting equipmentAssist Lifting Machine Inspector with load testing and inspectionResponsible for preventative maintenance on all hoist and overhead cranesResponsible for update and filing of all service and inspection sheetsConduct breakdown maintenance, complete proactive maintenance / maintain plant and machineryAssist in installation and commissioning of new equipmentPerform planned maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical equipmentAdhere to industry environmental, safety and OHSA standardsFault finding, testing and evaluating equipment for irregularities then repairing the sameInvestigate problem areas by reading and working from mechanical drawingsSafety installation and complianceUse the planned maintenance system with reference to the inline maintenance schedules and shutdown maintenance schedulesAdhere to both industry quality standards and the requirements of ISO9001Where appropriate, oversee work of contractors on siteProvide support and assistance to all departmentsRequirements:Must be a qualified Fitter or Millwright with recognized Trade Test3 – 5 Years post apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environmentPreference will be given to those registered LMI or LTI'sMust be able to climb and work on heights with no medical restrictionsMust have own reliable transportElectrical experience will be an advantageScreening:Undergo a screening and assessment processWork overtime/shifts and be on standby and/or overtime at short notice
