Based in Alice Springs, this exciting position supports the NT Trachoma Program, delivering vital services to providers, remote clinics, and clients.
Public Health Division, Centre for Disease Control—Trachoma Program Alice Springs Two fixed vacancies are available to 30 / 06 / 2025 You'll play a critical role in improving the identification, screening, treatment, and prevention of trachoma and trichiasis among Indigenous Australians, contributing to the elimination of trachoma as a public health issue. Responsibilities also include disease surveillance, participation in an on-call roster, and other public health nursing duties as needed.
The role requires a current NT-recognised vaccination certificate (or ability to obtain), a manual NT driver's license, and completion of a 4 WD training course (or willingness to complete). Travel by air and 4 WD to remote communities is an essential part of the job, including regular stays of up to a week in remote areas.
