CP Commercial Strategy Integrator
Job Purpose
Accountable for development and implementation of the Africa Cereals and Horti Crop Go-To-Market (GtM) strategies and campaigns for key farmer and channel segments with the objective to address customer needs and achieve sustainable profitability and market share within Commercial Farmers in Africa
Enable country groups to execute effectively on their go-to-market strategies.
Key Task and Respinsibilities
Develop & implement short, mid and long term integrated Go to Market (GtM) strategies and campaigns for relevant crops, adapting global and regional crop strategies to Africa / key customer segment needs and requirements
Ensure that GtM strategies are effectively executed through tactical marketing plans across Africa
Define products / solutions needs to achieve strategies and coordinate with regional crop teams to ensure availability of such products / solutions
Develop and define value proposition of products and tailored solutions in collaboration with Market Development, Breeding, Field Solutions and Sales organizations
Manage, support and co-ordinate pricing and market funding strategy as part of the GtM to ensure profitable business growth in Africa
Act as the key customer marketing contact for relevant crops for Africa Cluster ensuring effective implementation of GtM strategy
Analyze markets, macro-trends, customer needs and competitor strategies to identify new business opportunities based upon unmet needs of current and new customers, including partners in the food value chain
Collaborate with business intelligence and customer insight team to generate necessary customer insight to develop customer centric GtM strategies and aligned campaigns
Effectively evaluate the crop business potential in each of the country groups and allocate GtM resources accordingly for efficient campaign definition and execution
Lead, prepare and manage Africa GtM crop teams for relevant crops to ensure cross functional alignment
Ensure efficient implementation of key Stewardship measures as part of the tailored crop solution
Contribute to talent development in Africa by developing relevant competencies through continuous feedback and mentorship
Collaborate with internal and external partners across Africa to effectively ensure the development and implementation of Africa GtM strategies
Create a customer centric and 'on the ground" GtM team in Africa which place customer needs, value proposition and practical implementation central to all decision making
Accountable for development / Implementation of Cereal and Horti GtM Strategy in South Africa (SA) and Commercial Farmers on SSA
Qualifications and Compitencies
Degree in Agriculture related field and/or Business Administration.
Minimum 5 year' experience in marketing, strategic planning and / or sales.
Solid knowledge of agricultural systems and farm agronomy with relevance to the Africa cluster.
Ability to develop and integrate grower segment insights/ needs into innovative GtM strategies to expand customer base and grow the business
Ability to utilize complex data points in order to understand market trends and anticipate future requirements.
Ability to develop and implement successful strategic business plans aligned to customer needs
Ability to develop, foster and utilize a broad base of networks at all levels of the organization and across geographies
Ability to drive change in complex and stable organization
Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships
Ability to work well across both commercial and smallholder farmer markets
Lead and develop teams and talent
