About PayUPayU, a leading payment and Fintech company in 50+ high-growth markets throughout Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, part of Prosus group, one of the largest technology investors in the world, is redefining the way people buy and sell online for our 300,000+ merchants and millions of consumers.As a leading online payment service provider, we deploy more than 400 payment methods and PCI-certified platforms to process approximately 6 million payments every single day.The Country Manager holds a pivotal role in overseeing the Commercial Function and the delivery of sales goals.What you'll be doing:Commercial Success:Developing and executing strategic plans to meet sales targetsMonitoring and negotiating COPS rates for in-country banks, APMs and acquirersProviding strategic and competitive pricing guidance within commercial frameworksMonitoring and managing all sales activities within the country using Salesforce and ensure its accuracy and completenessManaging merchant portfolio, developing and upsellingLeading the local commercial function to generate a robust sales pipelineCollaborating with global and regional sales units to onboard global and enterprise-level merchantsAnalyzing and enhancing sales efficiency and productivityDeveloping and refining customer satisfaction strategiesMotivating and nurturing the local sales team for optimal performanceStrategic Leadership:Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and breaking down silos within the organizationEnsuring alignment of local management with organizational goalsInvesting in the development and management of talent within the countryPossessing a deep understanding of local market complexities and sharing insights with the broader organizationBeing a representative of PayU GPO in local payment bodiesRepresenting PayU GPO in the press and during events/conferencesNegotiating with payment organizationsPromoting and fostering One PayU cultureProduct and Engineering Management:Providing strategic input into the product roadmap based on regional market requirementsOperational Excellence:Ensuring alignment between the commercial function and other functions to maximize operational efficiencyMaintaining risk appetite and exposure as per company guidelinesWorking closely with the merchant risk team to drive efficient and timely onboardingIdentifying and addressing any process gaps and inefficiencies and supporting corrective actionsFinance Management:Responsibility for full country financial resultsWorking closely with the commercial finance team to ensure pricing of products are accurate and updatedTracking sales achievements weekly and quarterlyWhat are we looking for?7+ years of sales experience, ideally in a similar B2B environment5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams, ideally as a country or side lead5+ years of experience in payments, banking or financial domaineCommerce payments/ecommerce payment processing experienceMBA or Master's degree in management, finance or similar fieldExperience in partnership lead and account managementExperience in working within a global, cross-functional organizationExperience in budget management, forecasting, pricing, account profitability reviewAbility to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with multiple competing prioritiesAbility to build strong relationships and work effectively with all internal and external teams including sales, business development, marketing, and product managementAbility to drive decisions, take action, and roll up your sleeves and dive into the workSuperb articulation, communication, and overall leadership capabilitiesEffective and professional team communicationTeam player with the ability to contribute to the strong team culture of our diverse groupWhat we offer:Truly International Environment with almost 40 different culturesFree subscription to an Internal eLearning platform with courses from Udemy, Coursera, and many othersFlexible program and hybrid way of workingAn inclusive environment that ensures we listen to a diverse range of voices when making decisionsWellbeing programs driven by our Local and Global HR teamsA positive, get-things-done workplaceA dynamic, constantly evolving space (change is par for the course – important you are comfortable with this)Ability to learn cutting-edge concepts and innovation in an agile start-up environment with a global scaleA democratic work environment where you can drive your outcomesAbout Us:At PayU, we are a global fintech investor and our vision is to build a world without financial borders where everyone can prosper.
