Costing Accountant

The primary purpose of a costing accountant is to accurately determine, analyze, and manage the costs associated with a company's products or services. This role is critical in ensuring the financial health and efficiency of the business by providing detailed insights into cost structures and identifying areas for cost savings.Raising stock POs using QDocsTimely costing of shipmentsKeep filing neat and updatedCreate and raise stock POs using QDocs.Place orders and maintain clear, effective communication with suppliers.Capture shipment details in Excel templates accurately and promptly.Cross-check Excel files and POs, addressing any discrepancies with suppliers.Cost shipments in Excel once Cargo Compass invoices are received.Attach Syspro POs through Landed Cost Tracking (LCT).Ensure consistency between Syspro and Excel costings, resolving discrepancies by re-costing in Syspro.Communicate costed shipments to the receiving teams for further processing.Matric or Grade 12 with AccountingBCom Degree or Accounting Diploma a mustWorking knowledge of Pastel and Syspro a mustPC Literacy Excel intermediate
