Cost Control Engineer - Saudi Arabia The Company

Furthermore, it has recently joined a larger engineering services group, prioritizing value-added construction services, and has successfully completed over SR 3 billion worth of construction across 60 projects, emphasizing strong customer relationships and outstanding performance.
Work Location: Dammam (Sites), Saudi Arabia
Key Accountabilities Monitor project budgets in real-time, ensuring compliance with approved budgets. Analyze cost data for discrepancies and potential cost overruns. Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and cost control plans. Assist in estimating costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses. Prepare regular cost reports and financial forecasts. Present detailed cost breakdowns and variance analysis to project stakeholders and management. Evaluate and process change orders to assess their impact on project costs. Maintain accurate records of all change orders and associated costs. Identify opportunities for cost savings and recommend cost reduction measures. Develop strategies to improve cost-efficiency while maintaining project quality. Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project costs. Work with project teams to develop and implement risk mitigation plans. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Continuously evaluate vendor performance to ensure cost-effectiveness. Maintain well-organized records of all cost-related documents, including invoices, receipts, and contracts. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Stay updated on industry best practices and cost control methodologies. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance cost control practices. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience. Relevant certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. Proven experience in cost control or project management in construction. Proficiency in cost estimation, financial analysis, and budget management tools and software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
