Cost Chain Administrator

Job DescriptionUnited Exports is a fully integrated international fruit breeder, producer, and exporter specializing in pioneering new blueberry varieties. Our flagship blueberry brand, OZblu, is revolutionising the industry and setting new global standards. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the role supports the air-, sea-, and road teams by updating and maintaining costs in the ERP- and export systems, creating purchase orders, checking and signing off invoices, and submitting them for payments. The incumbent will also be responsible for following up on payment queries.Key Performance Outputs:Create purchase orders for sea-, air- and road shipmentsFlag cost increases and obtain information on cost driversFollow up and check vendor invoicesSign off invoices and forward for processingDispute incorrect rates and charges on invoices, request credit notesFollow up on payment queriesMaintain cost matrixesInterpersonal relationship building with logistics and financeRebate reconciliationsAssist with budget preparationsOnboard new vendorsAssist with other logistics tasks and functions as requiredRequirementsQualifications/Experience:Senior certificate / Grade 12 / Matric (Accounting subjects beneficial)Minimum 2 years work experience in the fruit industryExperience in exports, air- and/or sea freight beneficialTechnical/Functional:Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Excellent Email etiquetteUnderstanding the cost chain from start to finishERP and/or export systems knowledgeMinimum Education/Qualification/Experience:Senior certificate / grade 12 / matricSuitable tertiary qualification.Minimum 2 years of perishable transport coordination experienceLeadership/Behavioural:Excellent communication skills; verbal and writtenEffective negotiation skillsExcellent planning and organisational skillsBuilding and maintaining good interpersonal relationshipsAbility to handle several tasks simultaneouslyAbility to act with tact and discretion while being assertiveProblem solver, ready to take on any challengesAbility to work outside normal business hours, as requiredFunctional/Technical:Excellent computer literacy: MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Systems knowledge (e.g., Dipar, Netsuite, etc.)Knowledge of road transport types and costs
