Junior Cost / Project Accountant (POS 24171)Tharisa (Marikana), North WestR28 30 000.00 PMJob Purpose:This position is accountable for efficient and effective project budgeting, monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting on project profits achieved.Requirements:Degree BCom/CIMA + 2-3 years experienceORDiploma in Costing with 5 6 years experienceResponsibilities:Ensure that documentation is received from Services department on a new project;Setting up a Budget for new projects based on approved PO value and timeline from services department;Monitor and approve the issue of stock for the specific project;Processing of material usages;Weekly material stock count;Ensure that invoicing requirements are met as per specific client needs;Ensure accuracy of project invoicing;Monitor and report on actual expenditure compared to budget and raise any issues;Promote project cost savings;Monitor and ensure that project changes are accounted for in the final project sign off;Ensure the maintenance of internal documentation to ensure that project is accepted by client;Sign off projects with Operations Manager before final project closure;Ensure that all stock and services related costs are captured for month end close off;Prepare detailed project analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory accounts;Report on a weekly basis on project budget versus actuals;Performing any other tasks upon request from Financial Manager.Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders;Review and approve contractors invoicing related to a project;Recon of all contractors invoicing on project;Liaise with Project managers to get required information;Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management;Assist in providing information for annual audit.Closing Date: 30 June 2024
