National Company is seeking a skilled Cost & Management Accountant to design, implement, and manage effective operational processes and systems to ensure accurate data collection, enabling thorough analysis and comprehensive financial reporting.This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience to ensure adherence to financial protocols across diverse operations.
This role will involve travel between different sites as needed.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certification (e.g., CIMA, CPA) preferred.Proven experience of at least 5 years as a cost accountant.Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Experience with ERP systems and financial software.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Analytical mindset with attention to detail.Effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel in Eastern Cape and Northern Cape.Fluent in Afrikaans and EnglishKey Responsibilities:Process & System DevelopmentEstablish effective workflows and implement robust processes and systems tailored to support the group's diverse operations.Compliance & AdherenceEnsure consistent adherence to these processes and systems.Stock ControlOversee and manage inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock records and cost allocation.Asset ManagementTrack and manage company assets, maintaining accurate records and ensuring financial compliance.Staff ManagementSupervise and mentor a team of administrative staff, helping to guide and oversee their day-to-day tasks to ensure operational efficiency and data accuracy.Administrative OversightMonitor and oversee the administrative functions within the operational departments to maintain data accuracy and compliance.Cost & Financial AnalysisConduct detailed cost analysis and financial reporting on a monthly basis to support business decisions and profitability.Technology IntegrationImplement and support the use of appropriate tools and software for improved data capture and system efficiency.ReportingPrepare and present detailed reports to senior management on operational costs, variances, and financial trends.Travel RequirementBe available to travel between company locations as necessary to support the various operations.
