About the job: Cost AccountantMinimum requirements:B Com DegreeSAICA articles (completed/signed off within the last two years)1-year post articles accounting experienceAdvanced computer literacy (MS Office)Accuracy and attention to detailGood understanding of accounting verbal and written communicationExperience in accounting treatment of future contracts, derivatives and SAFEX transactionsResponsibilities:Analysis of purchase and sale transactions, including all ancillary itemsProvide management with feedback on the results of the analysisIdentification and reporting of risks/shortfallsConfirm the accuracy of month-end calculations and reconciliationsEnsure compliance with group policies, applicable regulations, VAT and tax legislation, and assist internal and external auditors when requiredAssistance with the preparation of annual budgetsEnsure proper filing and record-keeping of documents
