Cost Accountant

World Class Manufacturing Company in Cape Town has an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Senior Cost Accountant.
You will be reporting to the Financial Manager and will liaise closely with the procurement and production departments in order to monitor & report on the relevant management accounts.
This will include Material Variances, Contract prices, Cost of labour, Cost of projects, Forecast of BOM costs against actual costs, investigating variances, drawing up of relevant reports and providing monthly management reports to all departments.
You will also be expected to implement new SOP's where needed in order to prevent losses Requirements:Diploma/Degree - Cost & Management AccountingMinimum of 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing environmentIn depth understanding of manufacturing/FMCG processesPrevious experience in working with Bill of Material (BOM), costing and variancesWorking knowledge on SYSPROAdvanced Excel skillsKindly note that if you have not received any feedback 2 weeks after your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.
