Job details Here's how the job details align with your profile.PayR8000 - R10000 a monthJob typeFull-timeLocationFull job descriptionCorrugator Quality Technician/ InspectorTo ensure that all produced and delivered products meet the Everest Corrugated standard and exceed our customer's expectations.Responsibilities and Duties:Monitor and record the quality of all produced boardsPerform verification on incoming, in-process, and outgoing finished productsEnsure that the quality of all boards produced is up to specification and contains minimal to no defectsMake informed decisions and take a stand for quality assuranceReport all online quality problems to the control room operator immediately and follow up to ensure changes are made to reduce wastePerform testing and analysis of paper and board samplesAnalyse samples and provide feedback linked to customer complaintsIsolate, reject and record all non-conforming materials, in-process jobs, and completed productsManage samples (raw, converted, customer samples) ensuring they are properly stored and labelledMaintain and analyse a database of quality informationVerify all customer returns placed in the GRN area for investigation and feedbackConduct root cause analysis (RCA) of quality-related returns with the production teamVerify measuring equipment on the factory floor (scales, tape measures)Monitor and record paper material issues during shiftsCompile quality reports when requiredEnsure the daily quality register is completed and distributed at the end of each shiftReject raw materials (paper) by identifying and communicating rejections to QA and receiving departmentsEnsure rejected reels are isolated and identifiable with a QC rejection labelAdditional duties may be assigned by supervisor and/or manager/managementRejecting of raw materials (Paper):Identifying and communicating rejections to QA and receivingEnsure rejected reels are isolated and are identifiable with a QC rejection labelQualifications:Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric) completionBasic computer knowledge and usage of computer programs such as MS OfficeKnowledge in:Corrugated boardPaperImportance of quality controlBasic knowledge of quality control processes and proceduresRequirements:Willingness to work shifts and overtime2-3 years Quality Control experienceAbility to compile and complete statistics and reportsAbility to work accurately and at a fast paceGood analytical skills, able to gather data, determine, and take appropriate actionsFlexibility and productivity in times of continuing change and high stressAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentProficiency in reading tape measures and other instruments with speed and accuracyBasic math skillsStrong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to perform and operate under pressure and adapt to changing conditionsStrong sense of responsibility and ability to accomplish tasks without supervisionSelf-motivatedCompetency to review and follow instructionsPhysical ability to stand for long periodsSufficient physical reflexes and personal mobilityGood clarity of hearing and speechKey performance Indicators (KPI):Monthly net creditsAging Stock - ensure GRV area is cleanPlant waste - meet KPI set target 6%Quality detection ratesExternal customer complaintsGRV investigation and recover initiativeReporting:Reporting directly to Quality ManagerReports on all quality issues experienced and correct action taken
