Job Summary We are seeking a corrosion engineer to join the East West Pipelines Department (EWPD). EWPD is responsible for crude stabilization and storage, as well as transporting hydrocarbons from East to West and South of Saudi Arabia through a network of pipelines, pumps, and compression stations. The primary role of the corrosion engineer within Pipelines/EWPD is to minimize asset degradation by deploying PD&T and company-established programs.

Key Responsibilities: Participate in the review of new facilities designs to ensure compliance with SA engineering standards regarding corrosion and materials selection. Review mothballing and preservation procedures for facilities to ensure compliance with SAEP-43 provisions. Develop corrosion control documents in accordance with SAEP-88. Conduct annual reviews of dead-legs within EWPD as per 00-SAIP-01. Work on enhancing EWPD Corrosion Control Compliance Index score by identifying Areas for Improvements (AFIs) and developing plans to address them. Plan and oversee annual on-stream scraping activities. Track the progress of on-stream scraping and assist operations in evaluating the impact of deferred scraping runs. Review on-stream scraping reports submitted by operations post-scraping. Evaluate the effectiveness of on-stream scraping for each pipeline. Coordinate sampling activities as part of the on-stream scraping process. Evaluate sampling results and provide recommendations. Communicate with upstream facilities regarding any out-of-spec streams. Review internal corrosion issues, evaluate chemical treatment alternatives, select appropriate chemical products, and specify dosages for each pipeline. Requirements: Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized and approved program. Certified API-571 or NACE CP-4. Certified NACE Corrosion Specialist. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. At least one year of experience in corrosion-related fields.
