PURPOSE OF ROLE This role is responsible for assisting with the creation and delivery of a brand and public relations strategy to position the company's brand in the industry market with media and opinion formers to support marketing ROI and business objectives that will assist in obtaining maximum brand leverage (awareness, engagement and conversion). Profiling the Lesedi brand within the organisation and externally. To be the custodian of the brand and standards and ensure adherence across all levels of the business.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS External Communications ManagementManage all external communication activities with stakeholders.Engage with media for press conferences, statements, and inquiries.Maintain positive brand image through media and opinion leader relationships.Internal Communications DevelopmentCreate content calendars for internal communication activities.Responsible for internal campaigns and amplification through internal channels.Brand ManagementSupport the Lesedi brand positioning and communication strategy.Ensure brand identity compliance across marketing communications.Monitor industry trends and provide insights to support business objectives.Manage marketing campaign assets and approvals.Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external agencies.QUALIFICATION Com degree or equivalent Bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years' experience in brand, PR, internal and external communications.Proven experience in the energy, power generation, oil/gas, mining, media, marketing, or industrial industries.Rebranding experience is essential.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCIES Knowledge & Skills: Strong writing and communication skills.Proficient in budget management.Ability to prioritize and manage diverse marketing and communications topics.High learning agility and self-starter mentality.In-depth understanding of brand, PR, and communication strategies.Knowledge of digital and traditional communication channels.Familiarity with marketing campaign planning and execution.Behaviours and Personal Attributes: Proactive and solution-oriented.Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Adaptable to changes and challenges.Collaborative team player.Attention to detail and deadline-driven.Creativity and strategic thinking.
