Our Cape Town office is looking for a Senior Through-The-Line (TTL) Copywriter to add their creative Digital and ATL skills on the Checkers account, delivering top-notch creative work, from conceptualizing integrated campaigns through to execution, exceeding client expectations.
You will be a ATL creative all-star, with a solid background that includes both ATL and digital experience, ready to take on the world of retail. You have the skill set to capture promotional excitement and breakthrough concepts and copy for multiple media platforms such as web banners, newsletters, social media and website elements, whilst ensuring that the ATL elements, such as print leaflets, Point of Sale, outdoor media and TVC concepts, are just as exciting and ground-breaking.
As TTL Copywriter, you will be responsible for conceptualising, writing and delivering ATL elements; radio scripts, TV scripts; website copy; social media content ideas and copy and much more. Because we love collaboration, our ideal person would enjoy working within a greater creative team.
An eye for detail, ability to work well under pressure, as well as being up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques and technologies are essential requirements
Working closely with the art director to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfill the client's brief
Producing scripts and concepts with visual aids and references to communicate ideas to the client
Gaining an understanding of the target audience and business which the advert is targeted at
Meeting with the creative director and account managers before presenting ideas to clients
Pitching ideas to clients (As a copywriter, you will be relied on heavily during presentations, making good presentation skills vital)
Working on location
Attending meetings at production houses and with other directors
Working with voice over artists and assisting with the recording of your radio ad's
Working in editing suites to oversee the finished product
Checking, guiding and assisting other creatives with their work
Technical skills/knowledge:
TTL Copywriting and write with a strong background in ATL
Carry out conceptual and writing skills from initial brief to final artwork
Strong digital writing Portfolio
Strong conceptual ability
Great presentation skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Committed collaborative team player
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Proficient in: Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
FIGMA advantageous, but not essential
A knowledge of music searching and finding an appropriate voice over artist
Experience:
At least 4-8 years' experience as a TTL copywriter in an advertising agency a must
Experience with ATL copywriting
Experience with social media writing and specifications/ best practice
Experience in high-volume environments with fast turnarounds preferred
Qualification:
A completed Tertiary qualification in Copywriting/Writing/Brand Building
