Conventional Machinist

A company that is in the Engineering industry is looking to hire a Conventional Machinist. The Conventional Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual machining equipment to produce high-quality precision parts.The individual must have the following experience:Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts according to specificationsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentsSet up and adjust machinery to ensure accurate and efficient operationInspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specificationsPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipmentCollaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve productivityMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulationsDocument work processes and maintain accurate records of production activitiesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is preferredA minimum of 5 years of experience as a conventional machinist in an engineering or manufacturing environmentProficiency in operating manual lathes, milling machines, and grindersStrong understanding of machining techniques, materials, and toolingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprintsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workStrong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and interpersonal skills
