We are looking for an experienced Convention Centre Manager with a passion for events and a strong background in Food & Beverage management to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the planning and execution of large functions, conferences, and events, ensuring they run smoothly from start to finish.
Manage all aspects of event operations, including event setup, coordination with clients, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Lead and supervise the Food & Beverage team, ensuring high standards of quality and service for catering at events.
Work closely with the sales and marketing team to promote the venue and attract new business.
Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality.
Ensure that all events comply with health and safety regulations and venue standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
Train, mentor, and lead a team of event and F&B staff to deliver outstanding service.
Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure our offerings remain competitive and innovative.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Convention Centre Manager or similar role, with a strong focus on large functions and events.
Extensive background in Food & Beverage management, particularly in high-volume event environments.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
Knowledge of event technology and equipment.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations, particularly in a hospitality/event setting.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by events.
