Control Room Operator

Key responsibilities:Continuously monitor the status and performance of mining equipment using fleet management softwareCoordinate the movement and activities of mining trucks, loaders, and other equipment to optimize productivityIdentify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or operations, escalating to maintenance or management as necessaryEnsure all operations adhere to safety regulations and company policiesMaintain accurate logs of equipment status, incidents, and other relevant informationAct as the central communication point between the control room and field personnel, providing clear and timely informationGenerate reports on fleet performance, incidents, and other metrics as requiredWork with maintenance teams to schedule and coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance activities-Respond to emergencies and abnormal conditions in the fleet operations, ensuring swift and effective resolutionMinimum requirements:A Grade 12 (Matric)3 to 5 years experience as a Control Room Operator, preferably within the mining industryProficiency with fleet management software and other relevant technologiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh level of attention to detail to accurately monitor and log operationsAbility to work effectively as part of a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholdersWorking in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysCertifications in mining operations, fleet management, or control room operations
