Task Level T6R102 072 to R132 432 (Basic Salary)
R184 833 to R224 373 (Total Cost to Council Package)KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
? Apply correct telephone etiquette when answering all incoming telephone calls
? Distinguish between emergency and standard in coming telephone calls and act accordingly.
? Obtaining relevant details pertaining to emergency/incident
? Dispatch Emergency vehicles to incidents and or liaise with external emergency services.
? Perform Radio Communications with emergency and other vehicles at scene
? Attend to general enquiries from members of the public
? Interact with members of the public and external stakeholders/services/organisations.
? Completing pro forma documentation in respect of emergency incidents
? Maintaining and updating records such as shift rosters and daily occurrence books
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
? Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
? 1 year experience in an emergency communications centre or customer interaction centre environment
? Knowledge and understanding of emergency communications centre operations and systems
? Computer literacy – MS Office applications with accurate keyboarding skills (35 wpm)
? Must be familiar with the greater Knysna geographical area and major routes/buildings
? Excellent written and verbal communication skillsThe successful incumbent must be prepared to work shifts which will include work over weekends and public holidays. Must be available and prepared to work overtime with little or no notice should the circumstances dictate.All shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a practical skills assessment.
