The Medipost Group Risk Department requires a well-presented, disciplined, professional, and responsible CONTROL ROOM CONTROLLER registered at PSIRA, who understands the Company risk requirements and executes daily duties to pro-actively curb risk or loss and enhance risk prevention. The successful individual will be placed in Pretoria, Gezina.
The following are the primary responsibilities of this person:
Risk observing, identifying, and reporting potential risk making use of the CCTV monitoring, Vehicle Tracking, Probe monitoring notifications, and systems;Operating and maintaining all surveillance systems/cameras within the control room;Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances;Accurately reporting all events, incidents, and actions taken in the OB's in a clear, legible, and accurate written format;Prevent losses and damage by accurate and timely reporting and informing Control Room Manager/Risk Prevention Manager of irregularities;Securing of the site; collective business;Secure and safeguard premises, personnel, and assets 24/7 making use of CCTV surveillance, electric fence, alarm monitoring, vehicle (speeding reports, panics, and battery disconnections), and probe notifications;Ensure the safety of ML delivery vehicles and drivers by monitoring and tracking on the Mixtell system;Respond and record all traffic violations by ML drivers by monitoring the Mixtell system, generating reports, and forwarding to the responsible managers;Accurately recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities in the OB's;Responding to alarm, panic button, probe, and battery disconnections timely;Accurately and timely escalate risk observations to the Control Room Coordinator/Control Room Manager;Assist Risk Prevention Officers with proper access control by CCTV monitoring;Monitor access points and assist Risk Prevention Officers;Adhere to Two-way Radio protocols;Maintain organization stability and reputation;Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with Company employees, heads of departments, clients, and visitors;Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related administrative and operational results as needed;Adhere to Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Legal Regulations;Perform First Aid or Fire Fighting functions when required;Daily, weekly, monthly, ad-hoc reporting as required;Mandatory attendance of daily roll call/parades;Mandatory attendance of company training sessions;Meet competency benchmarks for training assessments;Continuous learning and growth (Personal Development Plan);Pass periodic polygraph, psychometric, and risk assessments.QUALIFICATIONSGrade 12IDEALGrade 12EXPERIENCEMinimum of 2 years proven work experience in the Security IndustryIDEAL2 or more years proven work experience in the Security IndustryCOMPETENCIES (Key Behavioural Areas)Excellent Surveillance and Observation Skills;
