Contract Manager

Requirement:Proven experience of at least 3+ years working as a Contracts Manager / Supervisor or related management experience in the related field.Higher education in construction management/ building studies, quantity surveying, or related fields.Health and Safety Training (Imperative)Computer literate – understanding of Microsoft Office (other programs advantageous)Industrial relations skills (i.e., knowing how to handle staff effectively, discipline, etc.)Experience in working with big teams.Health and Safety Management experience.Experience in interpreting engineering plans and drawings.Scaffolding Erecting experience (advantageous).Working at Heights Experience (advantageous).Responsibilities:Site Management:Assist the Operations Manager with project planning to ensure delivery within budget and deadlines.Ensure projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications, recommending improvements for efficiency.Regularly inspect sites for safety hazards and ensure compliance with company policies.Establish and supervise teams and subcontractors, managing materials and workforce.Conduct daily site meetings, toolbox talks, and sign off on permits.Measure work for invoicing and quotations.Labour Relations:Handle staff grievances, disciplinary actions, and Trade Union matters (if applicable).Assist with employee recruitment and payroll-related documentation.Ensure staff compliance with health and safety regulations.Employee Management:Maintain accurate employee attendance records and update timesheets.Monitor and report employee performance, providing training and support when necessary.Health, Safety, and Environmental:Ensure teams and subcontractors follow Health and Safety procedures.Handle site accidents and enforce safety regulations.Conduct monthly safety audits and update site safety files.Quality:Promote best practices and complete quality checks (QCPs) on jobs to ensure both functionality and aesthetics.Customer Relations:Meet with clients to understand their requirements and provide suitable recommendations.Build and maintain relationships with clients and external customers.Housekeeping:Ensure sites remain clean and in working order throughout the project.Salary:R20 000 - R22 000Perks: Fleet Vehicle, Cell phone, and Laptop
