Position Overview: We seek an experienced Contract Manager/Project Manager/Site Agent with extensive expertise in marine civil works, especially in high-energy coastal environments. The selected candidate will manage contract execution, oversee project teams, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience in seawall construction, dewatering, and managing temporary works within tidal ranges.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all aspects of the construction project, including demolition of the existing seawall, excavation, and installation of concrete seawall structures.Manage the construction of beach access points, stormwater systems, promenade, and road infrastructure.Develop and monitor project schedules, including phased execution to accommodate site conditions and environmental factors.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, especially regarding high-water and wave action management.Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and the project team to address technical and logistical challenges.Supervise the design and installation of temporary works, including bund walls and dewatering systems.Provide regular project status updates and maintain open communication with stakeholders.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in marine construction are a plus.At least 7-10 years of experience in managing large-scale coastal and marine infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of temporary works, dewatering, and working within high-tide and wave-action areas.Proven ability to manage multiple project phases, including marine works, civil services, and road infrastructure.Familiarity with South African construction standards.Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk mitigation and site safety.Job Type: Full-timePay: R45000,00 - R65000,00 per monthApplication Deadline: 2024/12/01
