THE WORK AT THE FOUNDATION We are currently in an exciting period at the Mastercard Foundation as we intensify the implementation of the Young Africa Works strategy, aiming to empower 30 million young people throughout Africa to access dignified and fulfilling employment.
To ensure the Foundation's accessibility to our partners and program participants, we have established offices in Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uganda. These offices provide strong in-country support for the implementation of Young Africa Works. We collaborate with governments, the private sector, educators, and other funders to enhance the quality of education and vocational training, equip young individuals with the necessary skills for the workforce, expand access to financial services for entrepreneurs and small businesses, and facilitate connections between job seekers and meaningful employment opportunities.

THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Head, People & Culture Strategy and Organization Effectiveness, the Consultant will guide and support the enterprise in the successful design, implementation, and adoption of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing stakeholder engagement and readiness.
WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE Provide expert advice on conceptualizing, designing, and implementing change initiatives.Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of initiatives.Lead the creation and execution of detailed change roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise transformation goals.Advise and implement integrated change management approaches for cohesive enterprise-wide transformations.Conduct change impact assessments, business readiness analyses, and stakeholder engagement activities.Develop and execute stakeholder plans in collaboration with the People & Culture Leadership Team.Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of change initiatives using robust change management processes and methodologies.Apply appropriate change tools and approaches tailored to varied audiences.Collaborate with internal communication teams to develop and deliver effective change communications.Build and enhance organizational change leadership and management capabilities.Deliver training programs related to the change framework.Evaluate change risks and provide actionable guidelines to mitigate negative impacts.Lead the measurement and evaluation of change implementation success.Advise and coach senior leaders to align them with the change journey and foster a supportive environment for successful change.Provide strategic leadership and hands-on support for complex change projects.WHO YOU ARE A minimum of 10 years of experience in change management, organizational development, or a related field.Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale change initiatives in complex, multi-faceted global organizations.Experience working with senior leadership teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive change.Ability to develop and implement comprehensive change strategies aligned with organizational goals.Strong leadership skills to guide and influence senior leaders and stakeholders.Excellent communication skills to articulate change plans and engage stakeholders effectively.Proficiency in conducting change impact assessments and readiness analyses.Deep understanding of change management frameworks, tools, and best practices.Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor change initiatives.Expertise in developing and executing stakeholder engagement plans.Ability to design and deliver training programs to build change management capabilities.Skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating change-related risks.Proficiency in measuring the success of change initiatives and providing actionable insights.Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.Professional maturity, sensitivity to different cultures, and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Foundation's values.You have a committed to Mastercard Foundation's values and vision.Deadline for Applications is June 20, 2024.
