Role Summary:As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning to final delivery.
Your role will involve detailed project planning, cost management, quality assurance, contractor and stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
You will also lead a team of professionals, ensuring that each project is completed to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Execution:Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, cost estimates, resource requirements, and risk management strategies.Oversee all project activities to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.Conduct feasibility studies and assist in establishing client requirements.Cost Management:Prepare and manage budgets for construction projects, including cost analysis and control.Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.Manage costs across a variety of projects, including residential developments, commercial buildings, and infrastructure.Quality Assurance:Develop and enforce stringent quality control processes.Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards.Address quality issues promptly to maintain high standards.Contractor and Stakeholder Management:Advise on procurement strategy and prepare tender documents.Evaluate, select, and manage contractors and subcontractors.Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, including municipal by-laws and building codes.Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.Risk Management:Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts and inspection reports.Team Leadership and Development:Lead, mentor, and develop the project team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
