Job purpose statement:We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to lead and coordinate construction activities on site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating all construction activities, ensuring compliance with project instructions, and managing site operations across our Oil, Gas and Power Division.Key Performance Areas:Oversee comprehensive construction delivery and project executionEnsure strict compliance with company processes, legal requirements, and site-based work standardsManage all on-site personnel, including Project Managers, Engineers, and support staffImplement and maintain Health and Safety policies and Environmental Management PlansCoordinate project stakeholders and manage project interfacesProvide critical progress reporting and site administrationEnsure quality assurance and effective project controlsQualifications:Technologist degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Technical EngineeringRegistered Construction Management Professional with SACPCMPEngineering qualification with minimum 5 years related experienceExperience:Minimum 10 years post-qualification practical experience in site management of large-scale, diversified projectsAt least 3 years specific experience as a Construction ManagerProven track record of successful project delivery and people managementFamiliarity with PMBOK PrinciplesCompetencies:Knowledge:Construction management principlesISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standardsContract management and requirementsProject schedulingRegulatory and safety governanceBusiness principles and organizational processesSkills:Advanced computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)Proficiency in project management software (IFS, Primavera, MS Projects)Excellent communication abilitiesStrong technical competenceBehaviours/Personal Attributes:Exceptional leadership qualitiesTeam-oriented approachEthical and integrity-drivenMethodical with meticulous attention to detailSelf-motivated and proactiveProfessionally adaptableAbility to anticipate and plan for future activitiesAssertive and decisiveShould you not hear from us within 21 days of the closing of the advert, kindly regard your application to have been unsuccessful.
