Construction Health & Safety Officer – Construction, Western Cape Start Immediately!
R25 000 - R35 000 Per Month Negotiable depending on qualification and experience A reputable construction firm is offering an opportunity to kickstart your Health & Safety career within the construction arena!
You are a reliable, self-managed, punctual, diligent, enthusiastic, organized, and positive individual who takes direction well and has the ability to manage others.
Role and Responsibilities: Manage all H&S aspects of all sites.
Manage site-specific safety representatives.
Ensure all inductions are complete.
Maintain the perimeter hoarding and appearance of the site.
Conduct daily site safety inspections.
Update safety registers.
Hold toolbox talk meetings with labour teams.
Produce monthly safety reports.
Issue fines to sub-contractors not working safely.
Inspect all PPE (personal protective equipment).
Have a first aid course and be the first aider on site.
Manage incidents and emergency procedures.
Qualifications and Experience: Relevant Degree in Health and Safety studies or related fields (SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, etc.).
Must have height experience.
Must come from a construction background.
Must be a registered SACPCMP Safety Officer.
3-5 years of relevant experience gained within the construction arena.
Knowledge of recent H&S legislation.
Driver's license and own vehicle are essential.
