Then we have a great opportunity for you.What You'll Do:Surveying locationsProviding measurements, photos, documentation, and producing hand or digital sketches.Daily construction site monitoring and reportingTracking crew locationsIdentifying electric and gas infrastructureAttending field meetingsInteracting with construction contractors, other utility inspectors, and NYC project personnelMonitor construction for QC, covering emergency utility outagesWhat You Bring:2+ years in the construction industryAbility to read blueprintsConstruction scheduling and planningTake accurate measurements and produce detailed sketchesPrior excavation and utility installation experienceAbility to work with contractors and utility inspectorsStrong written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitudeWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office programsSome overtime may be required at times based on the volume of workPhysical Demands:Work is mostly outdoors, sometimes in inclement weatherWhile performing duties, employees must walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the dayNice to Have:Site inspection experience is highly desirableDirect experience with electric and gas infrastructure is also a big plusKnowledge of construction cost estimating and NYC construction codes is a bonusWhat We Offer:Base salary of $84,000 – 93,000 annual + overtime payMileage reimbursement for vehicle useExpense reimbursement for tolls, parking, and travel costsPaid time off, holiday pay, and a floating holidayHealth benefits include medical, dental & vision for you and your dependentsCompany-paid short-term disability benefits after one year of service401(k) plan on the first of the month following your start date401(k) safe-harbor match after one year of employmentSupplemental life insurance is offered for you and your dependents
